Welcome Hockey Columnist Gary Stevens
Gary has been an avid sports fan since the age of 6. Having been to his first hockey game at age 8 in Los Angeles, he has followed hockey and the Los Angeles Kings since 1970, witnessing such memorable events as the Miracle on Manchester, and the career of Wayne Gretzky. He also participates as a goalkeeper in both indoor and outdoor soccer, having played for over 37 years. He participated in the 1984 Summer Olympics as cast member of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
He is also a member of ACM and IEEE.
Gary continues to play roller hockey and soccer today although his age prevents him from making the sports highlight reel.
